The Lafferty musical heritage runs back many generations.    My great great grandmother was Hazel Lafferty and she played Piano.  Her father Henry Lafferty, my second great grandfather,  played guitar as shown in the picture.  His brother John played the fiddle.  The gentleman seated is Elijah Lafferty our third great grandfather.   He fought in the Ohio 48th at the battle of Shiloh during the Civil War.   The picture was taken at their homeplace near Dodsonville Ohio.
